On August 23, the Portuguese-American Club on Martha's Vineyard hosted the much-anticipated Grown Folk Friday II evening, a vibrant gathering that brought together community members for a night filled with fun, music, and fundraising. This event was not only an opportunity for attendees to enjoy nostalgic tunes and dance the night away but also served a greater purpose—supporting The Play4Peace Initiative's mission to foster community engagement and awareness around critical issues.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of Grown Folk Friday II. Your participation and enthusiasm were instrumental in creating a memorable evening, and the funds raised will directly support our ongoing efforts in promoting opioid awareness and financial literacy among youth. Events like these highlight the importance of community involvement in addressing pressing social issues, and we are thrilled to see such strong support from our local community.

As we reflect on the success of this event, we look forward to continuing our mission and hope to see everyone again next year. Mark your calendars for Grown Folk Friday III, where we will once again unite for a night of music, fun, and meaningful fundraising. Together, we can create lasting change and build a brighter future for our community.
